For some of the roughly two-dozen Democrats looking to unseat President Trump in 2020, the decision to seek the White House formed over years in politics.

For Marianne Williamson, the decision was more sudden. She's a relative newcomer to politics — best known as the best-selling author of "A Return to Love" and other self-help books. And she says it was an epiphany that prompted her to enter the presidential race.

The nation needs a "spiritual and moral" awakening, according to Williamson.
