Resume

The chaos of this summer has been reflected in our music, and the #1 Billboard slot has felt more like a revolving door. We talk about the music that's risen to the charts this summer, and why nothing has taken hold the way Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" did last year.

We discuss with Tim Riley, a music critic with NPR and Associate Professor at Emerson College, and Prince Charles Alexander, an acclaimed recording and mixing engineer who has worked with Mary J. Blige, Destiny’s Child, the Notorious B.I.G., Aretha Franklin, and many more. He now teaches at Berklee College of Music.

This segment aired on August 20, 2020.
