'Ring On Deli' Pays Tribute To The 2014 Market Basket Strike

In 2014, thousands of employees of local grocery store chain Market Basket walked off the job — rallying outside of the store's headquarters in Tewksbury, in support of their fired-CEO, Arthur T. Demoulas. The 40-day strike was a profound act of democracy and collective action that made a difference.

That history inspired local writer Eric Giroux's first novel: "Ring On Deli." Giroux joins us to talk about the strike and how it influenced his writing.
