Top Boston Doctor Will Be Biden's Head Of The CDC

Dr. Rochelle Walensky will be the next head of the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Dr. Walensky is currently the chief of infectious diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and a professor at Harvard Medical School.

President-elect Joe Biden will introduce her and his other key health team nominees, including the nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra, and the nominee for Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, at an event Tuesday.

Dr. Walensky tweeted in part that quote: "We are ready to combat this virus with science and facts."

We speak about the appointment with the Dean of Harvard Medical School, Dr. George Daley.
