This article is more than 1 year old.

Cities like Lowell, Worcester, New Bedford, and Boston, to name a few, are preparing to welcome families from Afghanistan. Some have already landed, with many more to come. What does the preparation look like? What logistics are involved? And what will Afghan families experience once they arrive? We check-in with Emma Tobin, the Chief Programming Officer at the International Institute of New England, to find out. If you're interested in volunteering to help Afghan families in the area, please email volunteers@iine.org.

This segment aired on October 7, 2021.
