There's nothing quite like a snow day.

Tonight, Boston and the region are expected to get our first snow of the winter. And while it may not be snow-day worthy, the first snow of winter is still the first snow of winter. We check in on what we can expect out of the event with WBUR meteorologist David Epstein.

Plus, with snow on the way, many communities are getting their snow clearing fleets ready.

Or trying. There's a shortage of workers to drive the plows and keep the streets clean.

We'll hear from Jim Stanford, the director of Public Works for the town of North Andover, about the driver shortage and how the town plans to keep the roads plowed quickly and safely this winter.

This segment aired on December 8, 2021.
