According to an analysis by rental listing service company Zumper, the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment in Massachusetts was $2,075 in April. In Boston, that number was $2,530. That's roughly 20% higher compared to this time last year.

Boston Globe articles editor Annalisa Quinn has been apartment hunting, and some of the options she discovered in her price range were so striking she wrote a piece about it: "Want to pay less for a Boston? Just move in with a nudist."

This segment aired on May 4, 2022.
