As talk of 4-day work weeks increase, employees in one Mass. town are testing the schedule out

In the past few years, private companies — even whole countries like Iceland and Spain — have experimented with instituting a four-day work week.

As the pandemic upended work lives around the world, the idea became increasingly popular once again. Now, one town in Massachusetts has implemented it for city employees. We speak with Swampscott's town administrator about the recent change. Plus, a Boston College professor shares what research shows about four-day work weeks.
