The Worcester Art Museum heist, 50 years later

19:33

In 1972, the Worcester Art Museum was robbed in what was then the world's second-largest postwar museum crime. Four teens were held at gunpoint — and they're still friends today. Their experiences were untold until this year, when they were featured in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

They join us to tell their stories and mark the 50th anniversary of the heist. Plus, we learn how this robbery laid the groundwork for the infamous — and still-unsolved — Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist nearly two decades later.

This segment aired on June 23, 2022.
