At the Massachusetts State House, interns have duties from answering constituents to gathering research for lawmakers and more. But the internship programs are aimed at students, who receive school credit and are not paid wages.

As July 28 is National Intern Day, we're hearing from co-founder of the organization Pay Our Interns, and a former intern for a state representative to discuss the debate over intern pay.

This segment aired on July 28, 2022.
