Cambridge company attempts to create 'full service' transit system for organ transplants

12:40

The United Network for Organ Sharing reports that more than 41,000 organ transplants were performed in the United States in 2021. Transporting organs destined for transplants is a tricky business. A U.S. Senate investigation found the organization faced problems with organs being lost or damaged in transit.

The Cambridge-based company, Paragonix aims to make transporting transplant organs more efficient. Boston Globe technology writer Hiawatha Bray shares how the company is doing that on this week's Tech Talk conversation.

This segment aired on September 8, 2022.
