Reverend Mariama White-Hammond, Boston's chief of environment, energy, and open space,  joins us to talk about her priorities for the city, and how she's bringing her background as a pastor to battling climate change.

One of those priorities is increasing Boston's tree canopy. Earlier this month, the city announced a program to plant and maintain more trees on private land. If private land owners or organizations are interested in participating, the city is asking them to email bostontreealliance@massaudubon.org.

This segment aired on May 19, 2023.
