It's the first day of Pride Month. It's also the first time that Boston will host a Pride parade and a slate of official events since 2019, organized by Boston Pride for the People. They have replaced the long-time nonprofit steward of the annual Pride parade, Boston Pride, which dissolved in 2021 after a year of missteps and long-term criticism over its lack of inclusion of people of color and trans members of the LGBTQ community. We talk about what to expect from Pride in Boston this year, plus how members of the BIPOC LGBTQ community are working to make all nightlife spaces more inclusive.

This segment aired on June 1, 2023.
