The Portraits of Pride photography exhibit at City Hall Plaza is one of many expressions of queer identity and culture taking place in Boston this month. One of the largest Pride events in the city, the Boston Pride parade, takes place this weekend after a three-year hiatus. Amid all the celebrations, leaders of Massachusetts arts and advocacy groups discuss the significance of the exhibit and upcoming Pride events amid efforts by homophobic groups and states across the country to strip away rights for LGBTQ people.

This segment aired on June 9, 2023.
