Section 8 and other subsidized housing programs are notoriously tricky to navigate. In Massachusetts, where housing of all kinds is extraordinarily scarce, getting off a waitlist and into a home feels almost impossible for some families.

We talk with the Boston Globe's Diti Kohli.
