A few years ago, college students stood in lines to get COVID-19 tests just to move into their dorms— if campuses were open at all. This September, students are back in college classrooms without having to show proof of vaccination.

It almost feels like the pandemic never happened. Yet, COVID-19 is still here and a booster against its new variants just got the green light from the Food and Drug Administration.

How do colleges across Greater Boston navigate the new reality when it comes to COVID-19? Dr. Davidson Hamer, professor of medicine at Boston University joins us to discuss.

This segment aired on September 13, 2023.
