Beginning Monday, the long-delayed demolition of the Government Center garage will force the Green Line to stop running between Government Center and North Station. The disruption is scheduled to last about a month.

We break down the messy project — and its long-term upsides — with the Boston Globe's Catherine Carlock, Marc Draisen of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, and Chris Dempsey, formerly of the state Department of Transportation.

This segment aired on September 18, 2023.
