Gov. Maura Healey has until Sunday, Oct. 8 to act on the new tax relief proposal sitting on her desk.

Within the bill are many provisions that can put money back in Massachusetts residents' pockets. Can the proposal also keep people from leaving in favor of more affordable states?

Evan Horowitz of Tufts University's Center for State Policy Analysis joins WBUR's Radio Boston to talk about what the tax relief package could do for you and for the state's competitiveness.

This segment aired on October 3, 2023.
