A panel of local historians join Radio Boston to look back on 2023 and tell us what lessons they want taken into 2024.

We're joined by David Gergen, a former White House adviser to four U.S. presidents and founding director of the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School; Kellie Carter Jackson, an associate professor of Africana Studies at Wellesley College; Maria John, an assistant professor of history at UMass Boston who directs the school's Native American and Indigenous Studies Program and Kanisorn Wongsrichanalai, research director at the Massachusetts Historical Society.
