The Oscars will take place this Sunday, and "American Fiction," directed by Cord Jefferson, is one of the two Best Picture nominees set in Greater Boston.

Radio Boston sits down with film critic Ty Burr, creator of Ty Burr's Watchlist, and Olivia Grant, arts and culture writer at The Bay State Banner, to discuss how the movie reclaimed representations of Black communities in Boston.

This segment aired on March 7, 2024.
