What new salary transparency legislation would mean for businesses

15:23

Last Wednesday, lawmakers voted on a compromise salary transparency bill. The bill would require employers to tell job seekers the salary ranges for positions. It now sits on Gov. Maura Healey's desk.

Radio Boston sits down with Evelyn Murphy, co-chair of Boston Women's Workforce Council and former lieutenant governor, and Brooke Thomson, CEO at Associated Industries of Massachusetts, to discuss what the bill means for employees and jobseekers in the state.

This segment aired on July 29, 2024.
