Mushroom leather? Apple peel shoes? Exhibit showcases sustainable innovations
A year-long exhibit at the Museum of Science called "Innovation: Earth" explores the latest innovations in climate-friendly technology. It features items like flexible solar panels and fabric made from mushrooms.
David Sittenfeld, director of the museum's Center for the Environment, and Katharina Marino, the museum's content developer, joined WBUR's Radio Boston. They say the exhibit is an invitation to imagine a society in which sustainability is built into everything we use and buy.
