Gay Red Sox fans wrestle with star Jarren Duran's use of a homophobic slur

Emerging Red Sox star outfielder Jarren Duran is serving a two-game team suspension after he yelled a homophobic slur at a heckling fan during a game on Sunday. Duran issued an apology through the team Sunday night, and the team said in a statement that Duran’s salary during the suspension would be donated to LGBTQ advocacy group PFLAG.
