Previewing the 16th annual Middle Eastern Music Festival
On Tuesday, the Berklee College of Music will host its annual Middle Eastern Music Festival. This year is the 16th year of the festival and it will feature music of Georgia.
Georgia is a country that borders Russia and Armenia. While most people don't directly categorize it as a Middle Eastern country, its music and culture draws heavily from the region.
Radio Boston hears from festival founder Christiane Karam and this year's festival director, Georgian native Giorgi Mikadze. (You can find more information on the festival here.)
This segment aired on November 4, 2024.
