Food-focused nonprofit highlights local entrepreneurs in holiday gift box

Some people are already thinking about gift-buying as the holiday season approaches. If that's you, remember: local businesses are competing for your dollars, too.

No one knows that better than Jen Faigel, the co-founder and executive director of CommonWealth Kitchen. The Dorchester nonprofit provides kitchen space and other support to food-focused local entrepreneurs.

Faigel joined WBUR's Radio Boston, along with Joshua Reed-Diawuoh, the owner and founder of GRIA Food Co. Reed-Diawuoh's company makes cashew snacks sourced from West Africa. He's one of 10 local entrepreneurs featured in this year's holiday gift box curated by CommonWealth Kitchen.
