BSO's Carlos Simon to premiere music inspired by the Gardner museum
Carlos Simon is the inaugural composer chair of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. His new collection of musicwas inspired by one of Boston's famous institutions: The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
Simon speaks with WBUR's Lisa Mullins about the collection's premiere this weekend, and his other upcoming BSO performances that celebrate the tradition of gospel music.
