Next year marks the 50th anniversary since Faneuil Hall was rebranded as a "festival marketplace."
But today, the marketplace is in a bit of trouble. It's still recovering from 2020 business closures. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu asked her planning chief Kairos Shen to assemble a task force to reimagine the market.
