His group helped prevent a nuclear arms race in the '80s. Now he wants the public's help to prevent another one
Massachusetts native Dr. James Muller co-founded International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War. The Nobel Prize-winning group sought to build connections between the U.S. and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Together, the international group of doctors convinced world leaders to draw up new arms control agreements and dismantle tens of thousands of nuclear warheads.
Now, as the U.S. and Israel's war in Iran rages on, it brings nuclear issues to the fore again. Dr. Muller spoke to WBUR's Deborah Becker to discuss his level of concern.
