New band explores the impact of the sugar trade on the world's music

A new project aims to explore the impact of the sugar trade on the music we still listen to today.

The Sugar Road Band is the brainchild of Berklee College of Music professor Leo Blanco. He spoke with WBUR's Simón Rios about the project and what inspired it.
