Jeanne Shaheen, longtime senator from New Hampshire, takes stock of her final battles

Jeanne Shaheen has spent most of the past 30 years in the spotlight: first, as New Hampshire's governor, then as a U.S. senator.

Now, she'll step away from elected office at the end of her term in January. She says it's "just time."

The Democrat joins WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss the mark she wants to leave in her final months on Capitol Hill.

This segment aired on April 27, 2026. Audio will be available soon.
