Rep. Lori Trahan is working across the aisle on AI regulation. Some in her party are skeptical

On Thursday, Rep. Lori Trahan, a Massachusetts Democrat, unveiled a sweeping AI regulation bill she co-write with California Republican Rep. Jay Obernolte. The legislation would increase oversight of AI development; it also would limit the ability of states to create their own rules for AI.

Trahan joins WBUR's Morning Edition to respond to criticism from some Democrats and advocacy groups that the bill would fail to rein in AI companies.
