Set in Boston is a new series aimed at celebrating, analyzing and better understanding Boston's depiction in film. We’ll explore what movies can tell us about our city's cinematic representation, and how that does, or doesn't, reflect our actual community.

In 2001, editor Marty Baron of The Boston Globe (Liev Schreiber) assigns a team of journalists to investigate allegations against John Geoghan, an unfrocked priest accused of molesting more than 80 boys. Led by editor Walter Robinson (Michael Keaton), reporters Michael Rezendes (Mark Ruffalo), Matt Carroll (Brian d’Arcy James) and Sacha Pfeiffer (Rachel McAdams) interview victims and try to unseal sensitive documents. The reporters make it their mission to provide proof of a cover-up of sexual abuse within the Roman Catholic Church.

Following a screening, WBUR film critic Erin Trahan moderated a conversation with Walter Robinson and Janice Page, film critic and former deputy managing editor at The Boston Globe.
