Join us for a screening of part one of  "Undercurrent," a new documentary from filmmaker and author Erin Lee Carr, which examines the disappearance and murder of journalist Kim Wall and the subsequent trial of her killer.

All Things Considered host Lisa Mullins will join Carr for a post-film conversation. Attendees will receive a free copy of Erin's memoir "All That You Leave Behind" and Carr will sign books after the event.

This event is the keynote for Boston University's Power of Narrative conference.

About Erin Lee Carr
Erin Lee Carr is two-time Emmy nominated filmmaker known for exploring criminal justice, femininity and virality. Most recently, she directed "Britney Vs Spears," which premiered on Netflix in September 2021 and was the #1 most-watched film on the platform in 25 countries.

In 2020, her four-part docuseries "How to Fix a Drug Scandal" was also released on Netflix, ranking within the top ten most-watched shows during its first week on air. Earlier in 2020, Erin’s documentary "At The Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal" was the proud recipient of the Emmy’s Television Academy Honors.

Erin directed the critically acclaimed "I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth V. Michelle Carter," a two-part documentary that premiered at the 2019 SXSW film festival. She is consulting producer on Hulu’s Michelle Carter scripted adaptation, in which Elle Fanning will star as the derisive defendant.

Erin’s memoir "All That You Leave Behind," a reflection on grief, technology, and moving forward without your greatest champion, was released by Random House in April 2019.
