WBUR is proud to present The Moth Mainstage on Thursday, June 8 at 7:30pm at the Somerville Theatre.

The Moth is an acclaimed not-for-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. In its 20-year history, The Moth has presented more than 20,000 stories, told live and without notes, by people from all walks of life to crowds worldwide. The Moth podcast is downloaded more than 44 million times a year and Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour airs weekly on more than 450 public radio stations nationwide.

The Moth Mainstage is the quintessential Moth experience: a two-act show —featuring a musical act— where the storytellers and a notable host share true personal stories, without notes that are recorded for future episodes of The Moth Podcast and Moth Radio Hour.

Watch as five storytellers share tales around the theme "Now You See Me." Stories of appearances and disappearances. Second (third, and fourth!) glances. Shifts in perspective, glimpses of the truth, and the big reveal that brings us eye to eye. The perceptions of others versus how we view ourselves-- looks can be deceiving.

Peter Aguero, Moth intructor and GrandSLAM champion, will host with stories by Anjali Mitter Duva, Joseph Gallo, Desmond Jumbam, Jameer Pond and Connie Shin.

Ticket proceeds support news, programs and events at WBUR.
