There’s more to comics and graphic novels than big laughs, intense action or major drama — cartoonists offer satire, sharp commentary and insight into our world that only this visual artform can provide to elevate the conversation. Joel Christian Gill, cartoonist, associate professor of art and chair of Boston University’s department of visual narrative, moderated a conversation exploring the culture of comics with local artists.
