Curated Cuisine is a monthly series examining all things edible, from the chefs cooking the food to the writers reviewing the recipes. Meet the people shaping the food industry, both local and national and enjoy a post-show bite inspired by the conversation.

Roxbury native, community leader and entrepreneur Nia Grace joins Darryl C. Murphy, host of WBUR’s daily news and culture podcast The Common, for a conversation exploring how she got into the restaurant business, her vision for the perfect fusion of music and food and her commitment to supporting local talent.

Nia Grace is the owner of Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, on the edge of Roxbury and the South End, and the recently opened Grace By Nia in the Seaport, which is part regal Southern supper club, part speakeasy lounge, part performance venue.

Guests will enjoy a Creole garden gumbo (tomato stew with okra, onions, peppers, carrots, black eyes peas and greens served over long-grain ice) from Grace By Nia following the conversation.
