WBUR is proud to be a media partner of The Moth, an acclaimed non-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. The Moth StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling competition, open to anyone with a five-minute story to share on the night’s theme. Come tell a story...or just enjoy the show!
The theme of this StorySLAM is "HOSPITALITY." Cook up a five-minute story about serving others. Early mornings, late nights, clopening, or back-to-back doubles. Catching up with your favorite regular, serving your crushtomer, or the dread of seeing your least favorite guest. Standing for 8 hours, remembering to smile, and only sometimes crying in the walk-in. Testing mettle and memory. Can I speak to the manager?
