Hank Williams' Mother's Best Recordings

This article is more than 9 years old.

In 1951, at the height of his popularity, country star Hank Williams hosted a live radio show from Nashville. The show is legendary among country fans both because Williams played many of his hit songs on it, but also because the country legend revealed insights from his personal life to his adoring fans.

After Williams' death, recordings of the show were lost and forgotten at the station in which they were recorded. Since then, the recordings have come to light and have been compiled on a mammoth 16 CD collection, "The Hank Williams Complete Mother's Best Recordings... Plus." Watch a short preview documentary on the story of the new collection below.
