Timothy Quinn is a Boston native, now living and working in Giza, just outside downtown Cairo. He has taken part in neighborhood security patrols and today is in Tahrir Square, alongside his Egyptian friends, selling t-shirts he makes.

He describes the atmosphere as peaceful, but says many people in Cairo are starting to struggle because banks are closed and they can't access their money.

This segment aired on February 1, 2011.
