Pet Stores Deal With Alcohol-Induced 'Puppy Love'

For Greenwich Village pet stores in New York, happy hour is anything but.

After years of watching customers from nearby bars purchase puppies while inebriated, only to return them the next day, Le Petit Puppy, on Christopher Street in Greenwich Village, had to clamp down on customers who had a few too many drinks at the nearby bars.

Le Petit Puppy, along with other stores in the area, now won't allow people under the influence to buy or handle pets.
