Democrats Pin Their Hopes On Female Senate Candidates
ResumeRight now there are 17 women in the U.S. Senate.
Some of them, like Senator Olympia Snowe, a Republican from Maine, are retiring. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, a Republican from Texas, is also giving up her seat.
But Democrats are hoping to make up for that lost ground with a record 11 Democratic women running for Senate.
