Divided Republicans And Democrats Push For Party Unity

President Obama meets with Senate Democrats Wednesday, hoping to get them to go along with his plans to overhaul immigration and gun control laws. But Democrats in conservative districts are wavering. And liberals in the party want Obama to hold the line on pressure to cut social spending programs like Medicare.

Meanwhile, the Republican Party is scrambling to find a rallying cry after losing big in November's elections, as some Tea Party members are pushing back against a Karl Rove-led effort to back mainstream Republicans running for office.
