A new report out today from the Pew Research Center finds that one in 10 American adults have used an online dating site or a mobile dating app.

Of Americans who are currently married or in a long-term partnership, the study found that 5 percent met their partner online. Among couples who have been together for 10 years or less, 11 percent met online.

The study also found that "public attitudes toward online dating have become more positive in recent years, but many users also report negative experiences."

Aaron Smith, senior researcher for the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project, joins Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson to discuss the findings.
