Millions of Americans will set out on road trips this week to get to their Thanksgiving dinners. One thing they might be thankful for: lower gas prices.

Gasoline is cheaper than last year. Turkey prices are down too. And retailers are joining in, offering big discounts on TVs and other goods.

NPR's Marilyn Geewax speaks with Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson.
