Difficult Talks On Iran Nuclear Program Begin

Iran and six world powers began talks today on a comprehensive nuclear deal. The three-day meeting, held in Vienna, seeks to build on an interim deal signed in November that curbed Iran’s uranium enrichment in return for partial sanctions relief.

Although there is little optimism in reaching a negotiation, the six powers seek an agreement that will leave Iran with little capacity to quickly enhance its nuclear program into weapons-making mode with enriched uranium or plutonium.
