Bermuda Resident Says She Is Not Fazed By Hurricane Gonzalo
PlayResidents of Bermuda are buckling down for Hurricane Gonzalo, which is currently a Category 3 storm. Gonzalo is expected to batter the tiny British territory with high winds for up to eight hours and cause a storm surge of up to ten feet. Authorities are urging people to seek higher ground.
But for Bermudian cake maker Juliette Jackson, bad weather is nothing new. She’s seen a lot of it over the more than 70 years she has lived on the island.
Jackson joins Here & Now’s Sacha Pfeiffer to talk about how she and others on Bermuda are getting ready to weather the storm.
