Obama Signs Executive Order On Cybersecurity, And Poses With A Selfie Stick
ResumePresident Obama is in Stanford, Calif. today to meet with leaders of technology firms on the growing threat to cybersecurity in this country. Intelligence officials have said cyberattacks are a greater threat to U.S. national security than terrorism.
The president will sign an executive order today aimed at bringing big technology firms and the government together to beef up security.
Meantime, BuzzFeed released a video of the president doing "things everybody does but doesn’t talk about" - namely, taking selfies, practicing speeches in front of the mirror and doodling. It’s a promotional video for HealthCare.gov and the upcoming enrollment deadline.
NPR’s White House Correspondent Tamara Keith speaks with Here & Now's Robin Young about how people are perceiving the video, what effect it could have on his credibility, as well as what the president’s goals are in Silicon Valley.
