What are Olympic venues good for when the Olympics are over? It’s a key planning question for Boston, Paris, Rome and other cities bidding to host the summer games.

Atlanta’s experience with the 1996 Summer Games may hold some lessons. Above all, Centennial Olympic Stadium has proven to be a huge success for the city. After the games, it was converted into a ballpark for the Atlanta Braves.

Now, the baseball team plans to leave Turner Field for a new stadium. Curt Nickisch from Here & Now contributor WBUR reports that stadium's success could eventually come with an asterisk.
