The Confederate flag is coming down. Very early Thursday morning, after hours of tense, emotional debate, the South Carolina House passed a bill to remove the flag from the Statehouse grounds, where it has flown for more than 50 years.

Governor Nikki Haley says she will sign the bill into law at 4 p.m. Eastern time, and at 10 a.m. tomorrow, the flag will be taken down.

Here & Now's Robin Young gets the latest from WFAE reporter Duncan McFadyen, who's at the Statehouse in Columbia.
