Kentucky Clerk Questions Validity Of Marriage Licenses
ResumeRowan County clerk Kim Davis, who went to jail for five days last week rather than issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, is back at work today.
Davis says she won't stop her deputies from issuing licenses, but she won't allow the licenses to have her name or title on them. Davis is also questioning whether those licenses issued are in fact valid.
The federal judge who jailed Davis for refusing to issue licenses has not indicated how he will respond. Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd speaks with Ryland Barton, state capitol bureau chief of Kentucky Public Radio, with the latest on this story.
